Kalen Lennox
Kalen Lennox is a Canadian contemporary artist whose practice moves across painting, sculpture and object-based work. His work is characterised by a strong visual language in which colour, material and familiar cultural references are reworked into highly distinctive, often tactile compositions.
Working primarily through oil painting, resin sculpture and his Pop Art Books, Lennox explores the boundary between fine art and the objects, symbols and images that shape contemporary visual culture. His resin works transform recognisable forms into polished sculptural objects, while the Pop Art Books play with the idea of the book as both cultural symbol and physical artwork. His paintings reveal a more instinctive and painterly side of his practice, built through colour, texture and layered surfaces.
Rather than working within a single medium, Lennox develops each body of work as part of the same visual vocabulary. Across them runs an interest in beauty, memory, desire and the way images acquire meaning through repetition and familiarity.
His work has been presented in exhibitions in Monaco, Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, establishing a practice that moves naturally between contemporary art, design and the wider visual culture from which it draws.
Kalen Lennox lives and works between Monaco and Italy.
